Heading into the beginning of September, a CompTIA analysis of job posting data from Burning Glass Technologies Labor Insights showed the number of open tech positions in the region declining slightly from previous months. But announcements made throughout the month could be changing that trend.
Last month, tech firms like Silicon Valley unicorn Tipalti, clothing resale company ThredUP and online grocer Misfits Market announced plans to set up various operations in North Texas, creating nearly 3,000 new jobs in the coming months. And that’s without counting giants in the industry like Amazon making plans to hire more than 11,000 in the region.
In September, NTX Inno and the Dallas Business Journal tracked more 25 tech companies making hires to the leadership, including 13 that made C-suite editions. Four organizations – Nuerolens, Digital.ai, Match Group-owned Tinder and SMU’s Southwestern Graduate School of Banking Foundation – named new CEOs.
