CourMed’s monoclonal antibody infusion therapy is produced according to stringent quality and efficacy guidelines to provide optimum results at fighting the SARS-CoV-2 virus. If you are suffering from COVID-19, have been exposed, or experiencing symptoms – monoclonal antibody infusion therapy may be your best solution for stopping the progression to severe symptoms or hospitalization.

Each monoclonal antibody infusion treatment is securely delivered (same or next day) and administered by a licensed RN highly skilled with IV infusions. The CourMed infusion therapy cost is $1,000 and is due upon scheduling.

Monoclonal antibody infusion therapy may be covered under your insurance plan – please check with your plan regarding any reimbursement policies and processes.

The FDA recently issued an emergency use authorization (EUA) for us of monoclonal antibody therapies for treatment for COVID-19. Monoclonal antibody therapy is available to individuals who:

• Are at high risk for developing severe COVID-19 and
• Have a positive COVID-19 test and
• Have NOT yet been admitted to the hospital and
• Are 12 years of age or older (and at least 88 pounds)

Additionally, the FDA has approved preventative monoclonal antibody treatment for those who have been exposed (consistent with the CDC’s close contact criteria), and who are:

• At high risk for developing severe COVDID-19 and
• Not fully vaccinated OR vaccinated by immunocompromised and
• 12 years of age or older (and at least 88 pounds)

Note: Post-exposure monoclonal antibodies are not a replacement for vaccination.

Among adults, the risk for severe illness from COVID-19 increases with age, with older adults at the highest risk. Severe illness means that the person with COVID-19 may require hospitalization, intensive care, or a ventilator to help them breathe, or they may even die. People of any age with certain underlying medical conditions are also at increased risk for severe illness from SARS-CoV-2 infection.

High risk includes any of the following:

• 65 years of age or older
• Obesity or overweight with BMI over 25)
• Pregnancy
• Chronic kidney disease
• Diabetes (Type 1 and Type 2)
• Weakened immune system
• Currently receiving immunosuppressive treatment
• Cardiovascular disease/hypertension or other heart or circulatory conditions
• Chronic lung disease including COPD, asthma, interstitial lung disease, cystic fibrosis, and pulmonary hypertension
• Sickle cell disease
• Neurodevelopmental disorders such as cerebral palsy
• Medical-related technological dependence (tracheostomy, gastrostomy, or positive pressure ventilation not related to COVID-19)

For orders received before 3:00 pm, CourMed monoclonal antibody treatments can be scheduled the same day. For orders received after 3:00 pm, your monoclonal antibodies can be scheduled the next day or at a time and location that is convenient for you.

A positive COVID-19 test is not required for high-risk individuals who have been exposed to COVID-19 according to the CDC’s close contact criteria.  The CDC defines close contact as someone who has been within six feet of an infected person for a cumulative total of 15 minutes or more over a 24-hour period.

Possible side effects could include allergic reactions, fever and/or chills, nausea, headache, shortness of breath, low blood pressure, wheezing, swelling of lips, face or throat, muscle aches, hives, or itchiness. After you receive a monoclonal infusion, you will be observed for an hour by a licensed RN and monitored for side effects.
